Google Ads can fill an OPD—or burn a budget in a week. The difference is almost never the ad text. It is what you promote, where, and what happens after the click.

What to promote

Promote services people actively search for and your hospital can handle today:

  • Speciality OPDs—orthopaedics, ENT, gynaecology, paediatrics
  • Diagnostic tests and health check-up packages
  • Facilities such as 24×7 emergency, dialysis or physiotherapy

Avoid promoting individual doctors, restricted treatments and anything you cannot describe without a superiority or cure claim. See what the rules allow.

Target areas, not the whole state

Most patients choose a provider within a practical travel distance. Target the city areas and nearby districts you actually serve, and exclude places where people cannot reasonably reach you.

One landing page per service

Each ad should open a page about exactly that service, with:

  • What the service is, in plain Hindi or English
  • OPD days and timings, location and parking
  • The doctors, with qualifications and registration numbers
  • A click-to-call button and a WhatsApp button
  • A short form that asks only for name, mobile number and preferred time—never symptoms

Measure the right thing

Clicks and impressions are not results. Track:

  1. Valid enquiries—calls and messages from real patients, not spam
  2. Response time—how quickly the desk replies
  3. Appointments booked and attended—from your own records

Your cost per valid enquiry is the number to improve. Report it month by month.

Setting the budget

Many single-location clinics in Rajasthan can test with ₹15,000–₹30,000 a month in ad spend. Hospitals promoting several departments usually need more. Run a test for at least four to eight weeks before judging it, and pay ad spend directly to Google from an account in your name.

Google’s healthcare policy in brief

  • Some healthcare services and products need certification or are restricted
  • You cannot target people based on health conditions
  • Ads and landing pages must be accurate and not misleading

HealthBrandX sets up and manages Google Ads for hospitals and clinics within these rules. Management is included in the Clinic and Hospital packages; ad spend is separate. Start with a free audit.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good cost per enquiry for a clinic?

It varies widely by speciality and city. Measure your own cost per valid enquiry for four to eight weeks, then improve it by tightening areas, keywords and landing pages. Be wary of anyone who promises a fixed cost per lead before seeing your data.

Can Google Ads target people with a specific condition?

No. Google does not allow personalised advertising based on health conditions. Healthcare ads target what people search for and where they are, not who they are.

Should ads send people to the home page?

No. Each ad should open a page about exactly that service, with timings, location and one clear way to call or message.
